iTouch Development

What does it take to bring iTouchs into the classroom? Exploring the creation of instructional videos (using Jing), bending the podcast server to meet your needs and choosing applications that are the “app for that” are the backbones of this course.

This course is designed to be offered to trainers who have a firm grasp on instructional technologies. During the full day training participants will gain a firm grasp on what solutions the itouch offers, what additional materials are best created and how to identify quality apps for student use.

Hours of Moodle

Hour long “Extended Learning Opportunities” created to help teachers make better looking Moodle courses, create instructional videos to support learning & remediation & begin to integrate Google Apps with their Moodle course.

EP Apps :: Docs & EP Apps :: Cals & Sites

Online exploration of how EP Apps, powered by Google works, the mindset behind cloud apps & storage. Intended to get a teacher to the place of starting to use Google Apps in their classroom.

The first course covers basics of documents, sharing and how to effectively use EP Apps (powered by Google) with students.

Moodle Training

A week long intensive training intended to help a teacher get started teaching using Moodle to support instruction, remediation & interaction in their online or traditional classroom. This course is taught using instructional video to teach the technology and classroom activities to develop pedagody behind online instruction.

Using problem solving, examples of developed work and individual course situations participants walk away with a good understanding of how to use activities to increase student engagement and achievement.

Online Course Work

Intro2CS

A fantastic introductory course on HTML, PHP, CSS & C++. Students ssh to our computer science server Athena to develop code using command line. Exposing students to a first experience with linux at the server level.

Advanced Web Programming

Taking PHP & mySQL to the application level, students develop a couple simple web apps, install open source versions of developed software and learn more about todays world of programming.
